If MFA is enabled for an Organization, each user will be prompted for an authentication code upon their first login. CaseGuide can grant that authentication code to last for a period of time before a new code is required. We refer to this period of time as the "token lifetime." Logins during that time frame will not require a new authentication code to be entered. Note that browser cookies must be allowed for the time period to be effective.
It works like this:
Upon first login, a user must enter both their credentials (username+password) and an authentication code to access CaseGuide. The user will then be able to access CaseGuide from the same browser for 30 days by just entering their credentials. At the end of 30 days, the user will need to present both factors again. If the user attempts to log in from a new browser at any time, they will need to present both factors.
This feature is configurable to a custom setting for each Organization, so some users may be prompted more or less often than 30 days.
